The ASPCA maintains a free toxic-plants database that we link to occasionally.

Plants are living things, and they respond to a tangle of variables: light, humidity, water chemistry, ambient temperature, the season, the age of the plant, the substrate, even the air movement in a room. The routines and methods we share work in our specific conditions. Yours will differ. Always be willing to adjust.
